Lila Moore Keen was raised in Dublin where she developed her artistic talents. Stories of her younger days tell how she would sit in neighboring yards and paint pictures of live flowers. She grew to be respected in the art world and had art showings in famous museums in New York and Washington, DC. She was honored with the title "Lady of the Camellia's" for her accurate portrayal of these beautiful Southern flowers. The Dublin-Laurens Museum contains the largest collection of her private works. The Keen Room features a queen-size bed, private bathroom with shower, cable TV, Free Wi-Fi, writing desk, ceiling fan, and antique amenities, including some of her artwork. Located on the second floor.
