Introducing the Shaffer’s and the “1903”.


Originally from Cape May, New Jersey, Robert Shaffer graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York in 1994. Robert traveled to Germany for one year of European training under award winning Chef Matthias Wehrle. Upon returning to the United States, Robert took the position of an exclusive Country Club in Delray Beach for 5 years.

Taking a break from the kitchen, Robert worked as a purchasing agent for 5 years but nothing could keep him from his passion for creating fine cuisine! He worked as the Executive Chef of Chez Gourmet Catering in Delray Beach for 3 years. Jennifer Shaffer, born and raised in Yonkers, New York, graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1994. She continued her education at Florida International University School of Hospitality Management. After working in the Country Club arena for 5 years, Jennifer stepped into the event planning role. As owner of In The Details Events South Florida, Jennifer played an intricate role in the design and management of over 100 events with budgets ranging from $10,000 – $250,000.

Their love and passion for food and service has brought this husband and wife, along with their twin daughters, to the Page House Bed and Breakfast in Dublin, Georgia, establishing their 50 seat fine dining restaurant and catering facility. Catering begins December, 2008. The “1903” fine dining restaurant will open in January, 2009.
